The outline is covered with a grid of 10 m² blocks (about
3.2 m × 3.2 m each). A block counts when its centre falls
inside the outline, and it holds no crowd until you paint it.
Grid Blocks is how many of those fit inside, which is why it can
differ a little from Total Area.
Each painted block adds its density to the total:
estimated crowd = Σ (people per m² × 10 m²)
- Light = 1 person/m² → 10 people per block
- Moderate = 1.5 → 15 per block
- Dense = 2.4 → 24 per block
- Very Dense = 4.3 → 43 per block
So 40 blocks painted Dense is 40 × 24 = 960 people. The
levels come from Herbert Jacobs' crowd-density method, and the
area is measured from the corners you placed, so both figures
are estimates rather than exact counts.
